Creating a Bill of Materials (BOM) Product

Create Component Products : Add products that will serve as components for the BOM product. You can create these in the Point of Sale screen by clicking the + button or in the All Products menu. Ensure these component products are classified as General Products (P) .




Create the BOM Product : After setting up all components, create a new product, selecting Product Type as BOM .



Add Components: When you select BOM as the product type, a Components function will appear. Click on
Materials .


Select Component Products : Search for and select the previously created products to use as components for this BOM product.


Set Stock Deduction Quantity : Enter the stock deduction quantity for each component, specifying how much to deduct from inventory each time the BOM product is sold. Once done, click Complete .


Review and Save : After adding all components, return to the product details page to verify accuracy. If any component products have associated costs, the system will calculate the total cost for the BOM product based on the combined cost of its components.
