The error "This product is not ready for sale"

The error "This product is not ready for sale" in SilomPOS usually means the product is missing key information required for it to be sold. Here's a breakdown of how to fix it:

1. Check Product Details in BackOffice:

Log in to your SilomPOS BackOffice account (dashboard.silompos.app).

Go to "Products" (สินค้า).

Locate the product showing the error.


2. Look for Missing Information:

These are the most common fields that, if left blank or incorrectly filled, can cause the "not ready for sale" error:

Name (ชื่อ): The product must have a name.

Price (ราคา): A selling price is mandatory. Double-check for typos or if the price is zero (0), which might also trigger the error.

SKU (รหัสสินค้า): While sometimes optional, it's best practice to assign a unique SKU to every product.

Category (หมวดหมู่): Assigning a category helps organize your products and may be required in some SilomPOS setups. Ensure the category is active.

Inventory/Stock Settings (การตั้งค่าสินค้าคงคลัง): If you're tracking inventory, make sure you've:

Selected the correct "Product Type" (ประเภทสินค้า)—like "General" (ทั่วไป) or "Stock" (สต๊อก)—and filled in any necessary associated fields (like "Ratio" for units of measure).

Entered an initial quantity in stock (จำนวนสินค้า). If the product is out of stock and you have inventory tracking enabled, this might cause the error. In some configurations, you'll have to create a "Stock In" (สินค้าเข้า) record first.

Visibility/Availability: In some systems, you might have options to mark a product as "Hidden" (ซ่อน) or "Not Available" (ไม่พร้อมขาย). Make sure the product's visibility is set correctly.

3. Fix the Errors:

Complete all required fields with accurate information.

Save your changes in the BackOffice.

4. Sync Your Data:

Go back to your SilomPOS app on your iPad/tablet/phone.

Force quit and reopen the app. (Important: syncing within the app won't refresh the product catalog if the app was open while making BackOffice changes)

Click "Sync" (ซิงค์) to update your POS system with the latest product information.

If the issue persists after following these steps:

Check your internet connection. A poor connection can sometimes lead to syncing problems.

Contact SilomPOS Support for further assistance. Provide them with the specific product name or SKU so they can help troubleshoot the issue.
